GiveCamp is a weekend-long event where software developers, designers, and database administrators donate their time to create custom software for non-profit organizations. As it is being explained to me, this is almost exclusively web-based applications or websites. The next GiveCamp is being held in St. Mary’s City, MD. This is the first GiveCamp in SoMD and I am told that it is the first one on the US East Coast.
I signed up. I have never heard of this kind of event until I heard about GiveCamp; this will certainly be a new experience for me. Expect me to post about my experience.
